I thought they fixed that minimum payment/interest rate loophole?
In any case, I've only ever had one credit card, and the banks can pound sand if they want me to get another one.

Credit cards only seem like a scam, if you use them to run up a bigger balance than you can reasonably afford to pay. If you just use them as a substitute for a debit card in situations where there's a risk of your information being skimmed or where the merchant is going to put an excessive hold on your funds, than they're fine. Just dont be stupid, and don't tolerate a high interest rate if you do carry a balance, since there's always so many 0 percent balance transfer options around and other issuers want your business.
